Quicken 2011 is one of the biggest new releases in the recent history of the venerable Intuit, personal finance package, and for anyone still interested in managing their finances on the desktop, it’s worth a look.

Besides a major overhaul that makes setup easier than ever and updates from the app’s look and feel, supports Quicken 2011 downloads transaction data from more than 12,000 financial institutions. That is about 2.5 times the 5000-odd institutions supported in Quicken 2010, so if you’ve been holding off on personal financial software, because your local bank does not cooperate, you might find that things have changed. The ability to automate data entry is one of the most useful features of a personal finance package as they see where your money goes and, by extension, the planning for the future so much easier.

Quicken Deluxe 2011 Review

Quicken 2011 supports not only thousands of new institutions, but also simplifies the task of setting them to download data. If you have an account, the software gives you an overview of the top 20 institutions that type of account (and autocompletes as you type in the name of an institution not on the list). If you already have an online account with the institution, all you need to do (in most cases), enter your existing log in information (username and password) to complete the installation.

This is pretty much how Mint.com works, and the resemblance is no accident. Intuit Mint.com its online personal finance brand and put Mint.com ‘s leadership team responsible for the Quicken desktop editions. In fact, Quicken starts to look eerily Mint in many ways and more than ever, the basic editions of theQuicken 2011 offer similar features. Given that Mint is a free service that Quicken editions seem to be designed for people who do not want to entrust their financial information to a web application that stores it in the cloud and are willing to pay for the privilege.

However, the higher end Quicken Premier 2011, which I tested in late-beta form, offering a fair amount of functionality with respect to investments that do not get Mint. This is the package for people who enjoy a close eye on their wallet and wants to hold tools to the tax consequences of analyzing a stock sale, or to their asset mix to balance.

Other editions with special functions include the Quicken Home & Business, which everything in Premier plus includes extra help for self-employed people who wish to maintain their business and personal finances in a single application and the Quicken Rental Property Manager, for small landlords.

Regardless of the edition of Quicken 2011, the designers’ web sensibility is immediately evident in their use of graphics: If you want to see your financial life provided pie charts, your Quicken 2011′s ability to make them love not only for transactions in a single account but on all accounts (much more useful to obtain a real world picture of what’s going on). Drilling down for more information as easy as clicking a graph segment and when you view the registry, you can set the column width to suit your needs and add or remove columns as you like.

Intuit Quicken 2011′s is also touting better able to accurately categorize downloaded transactions, claiming a 90 percent accuracy. In my tests, I could not verify this claim. Several came with no transactionscategory label, and I still have a few correct. But certainly the software such as discounted software had many categories right, which considerably less work for me to do. Assigning categories of expenditure is important if you want to see where your money goes and where you could cut back if you want to save toward a goal, for example.

Longtime Quicken users have to spend a few days to adjust to the new streamlined user interface, which is a lot less cluttered with menus and toolbar items than the old. I liked it and thought it was pretty intuitive.  The app had no trouble importing data from my previous Quicken file, so people interested in improving (if only to reduce transaction download support, which expires on the editions over three years to maintain) shall not be find the transition too painful. (Quicken 2011 still supports importing Microsoft Money files, even if Microsoft has stopped and the product will support online services in January to end.)

For everyday snapshots of your children, your dog, and your road trip to the world’s largest ball of twine see your Mac comes with iPhoto, a simple way to organize and edit your photos. But pro shutter bugs and photography enthusiasts need far more serious tools for growing libraries of tens of thousands of images to manage. latest iteration, Adobe’s Lightroom wants talks with the pro-level organization and photo management, editing and powerful answer for perfecting your images.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Review

In fact, 3 Lightroom’s editing tools are the real strong point. Operations are nondestructive, so you can go back and tweak (or remove) one of the adjustments you have made or multiple versions of the same image with different treatments. Lightroom does not support layers, masks or other sophisticated tools of Photoshop, but for many photo enhancements, it’s faster than pulling out the big gun from Adobe.

One of the best new features is the automatic lens correction that can correct for distortion, chromatic aberration, vignetting and for each of your lenses. Downloadable profiles are available for popular lenses, and if there is not one of your favorite glass, you can create and save your own for later reuse. The RAW conversion process is improved, enhancing fine detail. New noise reduction tools to produce smoother images at high ISOs without serious loss of quality, and sharpening is improved. By using both functions, you need a bit of skill to get the balance just right, but that’s always been the case with noise reduction and sharpening. Other changes are a natural grain effect, perspective correction tools for fixing things like converging verticals in tall buildings, and a more natural-looking vignette effect.

On the back end, Adobe Lightroom is redesigned 3 to improve overall performance, and this is especially noticeable with large catalogs and high-resolution images. Even on a modestly powered MacBook with 2GB of RAM, our test library of 30,000 images loaded noticeably faster than the previous version of Lightroom.

Some other dramatic changes to improve input and output. Adobe has a streamlined importing photos, and the new tethered shooting you can connect directly to some cameras to your Mac, sending photos in Lightroom as you go – perfect for studio photography. On the output side, Lightroom supports three visible watermarks, multi-image print layouts, and exporting slideshows with photos and HD movies, complete with soundtracks. Lightroom can now sync your photos to a Flickr account for automatic web sharing.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 Review

So Lightroom 3 is a seriously powerful professional tool. But is it better than Apple’s Aperture 3? When comparing the two, Aperture is much better at organizing images. It has a clean, unclutteredinterface, it cycles through the thumbnails a little more snappily than Lightroom, and its ability to albums stored both inside and outside projects offers more flexibility than confusing folders Lightroom’s (hard disk) and Collections (virtual albums), which not really mesh well. While Aperture excels as a cataloging tool, Lightroom has the edge when it comes to editing.

It’s a no-brainer for Lightroom 2 users thinking of upgrading, but Lightroom vs. Aperture 3 3 is a different story. If cataloging is more important to buy software online, then Aperture is the way to go, but Lightroom is beefier editing tools offer more flexibility for professional photographers and advanced amateurs.

As part of its aggressive plans 4G, T-Mobile launched a version of the popular Samsung 4G Galaxy S phones. But unfortunately, the Galaxy S 4G does not have the specs of the hot next-gen S Galaxy II phones we saw at the Mobile World Congress. That said, there are some small improvements between the Galaxy and the Samsung 4G S Lively, even on T-Mobile.

Samsung Galaxy S 4G Review

The 4G Galaxy S still retains the lightweight plastic feel in the hand that a few of the other phones have had Galaxy. It looks a little different than other all-black Galaxy phones as it has a lid with a silver metallic sheen. In terms of buttons, you get the default menu, Home, Back and find touch keys. The hardware power button on the right spine is slightly more pronounced than the one on Vibrant. Measuring 4.82 by 2.54 by 0.39 inches and weighing 4.16 grams is almost exactly the same size as Vibrant.

Like other S Galaxy phones currently, the 4G has a 4-inch Super AMOLED display. Super AMOLED technology, which Samsung introduced at the Mobile World Congress last year at the Samsung Wave, put sensors on the touch screen itself, as opposed to creating a separate layer (the old Samsung AMOLED displays it). This ensures a thinner phone as well as brighter colors and more crisp details. It is unfortunate however, that the S 4G Galaxy not sport the brand new Super Plus AMOLED display technology at the Samsung 4G Infuse debuted at CES this year. Super Plus AMOLED technology, the next generation of Super AMOLED, produces richer colors and a high visibility inside and out. It has 50 percent more dots for better clarity and readability outdoors, according to Samsung.

Like other phones Galaxy, the Galaxy runs Samsung’s TouchWiz user interface on Android 3.0. Fortunately, the Galaxy S 4G 2.2 ships with Android. I would have preferred a gingerbread (2.3) phone, though. If the Samsung Nexus S can, why can not the Galaxy S 4G?

Samsung Galaxy S 4G Review

Just like HTC and its Sense offer, Samsung has its own social media aggregator. Social Hub combines streams from your Facebook, MySpace and Twitter accounts in a single view. It is a useful feature if you need an easy way to keep track of your networks to maintain. Mini Diary is a random function, which allows you blog posts with photos, weather info, SMS messages, and much more. When I first tried the European Diary Mini S Galaxy, I could not figure out how to get my notes from the device.

Samsung followed up with me after my original review, happy, and confirmed that indeed you can post entries (but only those with photos) on various social networks or send them to friends via text. After selecting an item, press the Menu button in the lower left corner, and it gives you picture and publishing options. If you choose Publish your item to Facebook or MySpace.

General TouchWiz is a fun and attractive to take on Android, but it is not for everyone because it is so exaggerated that the result does not look or feel like an Android phone. We also found that the skin sometimes interfered with the Galaxy Speed S 4G’s.

CES 2011 yielded a lot of 4G phones with dual-core processors from HTC, Motorola, LG and Samsung itself. And this year at Mobile World Congress, we saw the Samsung S Galaxy II, a dual-core processor and new Hummingbird Super Plus Samsung AMOLED screen technology sports. The Galaxy S 4G is a great phone, but other than the 4G nature, it feels super phones last year. That’s not a bad thing at all, but for those of us who want the latest, greatest and fastest phones, the S 4G Galaxy might not cut it.

The second generation EVO phone has finally landed, and we can safely say that it is another winner. Android 2.2, a second generation rapid Snapdragon processor, endless applications from the Android Market, and a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard, the HTC Shift EVO 4G made to the text message fanatic and feed social freak. The phone also has a pretty impressive 5-megapixel camera with 720p HD video, and supports 4G hotspots. Will the HTC Shift EVO 4G have what it takes to destroy the Samsung 4G Epic, Droid 2 Motorola and T-Mobile G2? Search our exclusive review.

HTC EVO Shift 4G Review

In terms of architecture, the neighbors of the HTC Shift EVO 4G, the 4G Epic Samsung, Motorola Droid 2 and T-Mobile G2, because all three phones are specialized in the slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The HTC EVO 4G keyboard is very similar to the Droid 2′s as we look at the design because it does not snap off when the Samsung 4G’s Epic. Instead there is a significant amount of resistance when sliding out the HTC Shift EVO the keyboard, which lacks refinement. The placement of the volume buttons make it hard to open and close the keyboard, without changing the volume up or down. The buttons on the keyboard of the HTC Shift EVO 4G’s are small, but they are nicely spaced and have a function button for quick action. The HTC Shift EVO 4G also has a small directional pad in the bottom right corner, but we found it unnecessary, as the touch screen is good enough.

Speaking of touch screens, the HTC Shift EVO 4G features an 3.6-inch WVGA display with a capacitive great sensitivity. HTC really know their stuff when it comes to building a quality phone and the HTC Shift EVO 4G is no exception. The screen has a brushed metal casing and a large inlaid ear. The four haptic feedback buttons at the bottom of the screen are very sensitive as the screen, and we had no problem tapping and sweeping on the HTC Shift EVO 4G. Along the back of the phone, HTC put a matte finish on the plastic back, which, when removed, reveals the 1500 mAh battery. But there is no sign of a microSD card slot. This is because the battery must be removed to access the 2GB MicroSD card included.

The HTC Shift EVO 4G also a camera button is missing, so it is certainly not the best equipped phone in terms of external audits. The 5-megapixel camera lens with LED flash is embedded in the back, and the HTC Shift EVO 4G has a 3.5mm audio jack. In terms of portability, the phone is a bit thicker than the average non-keyboard phone, and is on par with the Droid in the case of two dimensions. The Shift-4G is definitely not as equipped and advanced as its creator, the HTC EVO 4G, and comparing the two is akin to comparing the Motorola Droid X and Motorola Droid 2.

HTC EVO Shift 4G Review

The HTC Shift EVO 4G excels when it comes to speed and productivity. It has a 800MHz Second-Generation Snapdragon chipset with a faster GPU, the EVO Shift 4G similar to some of the 1GHz speed phones on the market today. For our fun browsing, the HTC Shift utilizes EVO 4G Sense HTC with Android 2.2, the latter contribute to increase the speed and compatibility with Flash 10.1 while browsing the Internet. Along with the HTC Shift 4G mobile hotspot EVO 4G power, the phone has Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n Wireless-N and Stereo Bluetooth connectivity, GPS, and proximity, motion and light sensors. The HTC Shift EVO 4G is a beast in QWERTY clothing, and we found that the phone is very efficient when it came to speed. The EVO Shift 4G was one of the fastest phones we’ve tested to date.

With feeling and Android 2.2, could not really much better at this point in time. HTC brought us Friend Stream, which allowed us to totally all our Facebook and Twitter status update contacts in a big widget. The HTC Shift EVO 4G allowed us to select our favorite contacts and display them on one of the seven home screens, in addition to Web bookmarks. Speaking of Home Screens, Leap had the phone, so we are on the screen to your home screens as thumbnails, pinch and tap the one we wanted in order to minimize the number of swipes from screen to screen. We could add or remove widgets, applications, folders and shortcuts by holding down and somewhere in an open area of the home screen.

The HTC Shift also 3D games EVO 4G processed without problems, thanks to the 6-axis sensor, and the revamped Market offered more than 100,000 applications to download. We liked the look of the new Android Market, but the new layout makes it easier to accidentally hit an adverse selection. The HTC Shift EVO 4G offered high quality YouTube videos, but when we play YouTube videos from the Internet browser, the choppy framerate could not real-time sound. More goodies include Google Gmail, Maps, Calendar, and Search. Like any Sprint phone, the HTC Shift EVO 4G includes NASCAR Sprint Cup Live, Sprint TV, Sprint and the Zone, which require subscriptions.

For more productivity on the go, the HTC Shift EVO 4G had Quickoffice, which allowed us to compose or Word or Excel 97-2003 97-2003 files work. Everything about the interface of the HTC Shift EVO 4G and navigation experience was seamless, and it was one of the most pleasant browsing experience we have had on a phone to date. Even the people hub was intuitive, so we slide from All contacts to groups to online directories for Call History. HTC and Sprint have another champion in the 4G circuit.

Well, the wait for a new EVO phone is over and it was worth it. The HTC Shift for Sprint 4G EVO is a clear winner. It is as fast as most of the speed demons of the smartphone track, thanks to the second generation Snapdragon chipset and Android 2.2. The EVO Shift 4G also proves its versatility with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and access to many applications such as Quickoffice, HTC Mail, the Android Market, Google and a robust suite.

The HTC EVO 4G, the nation’s first WiMAX phone, the Internet has more than any phone in America today. The Internet has more than the HTC Droid Incredible and the iPhone 3G. All the Internet takes a toll on the battery of the EVO’s, so you’ll often have to recharge when using 4G. But if you live online, the EVO has a large, beautiful and powerful window on the world, and one of our 10 best touch-screen mobile phones.

HTC EVO 4G Review

We have seen in the U.S. for WiMAX handheld devices. But the Samsung Mondi and Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition  were not fully 3G phones, limiting their appeal. EVO begins with a world-class 3G smartphone and adds 4G as a “Turbo Boost” option. If you are an intensive user of the Web, you’ll like it even without 4G.

The EVO is a big black plate, superficially similar to the HTC HD2 for T-Mobile. Like the HD2, the EVO has a 4.3-inch, 800-by-480 LCD. The reflective screen is terrible, it’s useless outdoors. Inside, though, it’s beautiful, even better than the 3.7-inch OLED for HTC Incredible and Droid Nexus One. Making it slightly larger screen makes it more readable and clickable icons no longer visible jagginess.

The phone is not a physical keyboard, so you have to rely on the touch screen of HTC’s keyboard. Although visually appealing and more accurate than the standard keyboard Android, it’s nowhere near as easy or accurate as the iPhone keyboard, I found myself making more mistakes than me, either on an iPhone or on the physical keyboard a BlackBerry.

Another great physical feature: there’s a kickstand on the back. You’re probably going to see much video on this phone, and the kickstand props it up at a comfortable angle.

HTC EVO 4G Review

The EVO is a 4G phone but can not (yet) calling over 4G. Call quality on this phone with Sprint’s 3G CDMA network is not so great either. The sharp edge of the phone was not very comfortable against my ear, and calls sounded rough and hard. It is hard, but not clearly. The speakerphone is loud, but sound is a stringy and hollow. Voices from the microphone of the EVO sound hard and flat on the other side. The phone easily paired with an Aliph Jawbone Prime headset, but I could not use voice dialing with the headset. I have 7 hours and 24 minutes speaking about the EVO in 3G mode. That’s pretty good, but the story is very different on 4G WiMAX.

The phone runs the Google Android OS 2.1 with HTC’s Sense UI extensions. HTC rewrote the dialer, contacts, calendar and home screen (among other apps) to make them more usable. Most notably, the phone comes pre-populated with a bunch of useful widgets such as time, weather, and the music player (you can lose them if you like) and various social networking links into your address book. Google, Facebook, Twitter, Yahoo and Microsoft Exchange all contacts with each other, if you have a friend you will find her Facebook photo to see, and you can get her card on her Facebook updates leaping call.

There is a ton of useful software here. HTC packs desk clock and auto-mode options, along with an FM radio, a Twitter client, two GPS navigation options (Google and Sprint), a combined social networking client called “Friend Stream”, Microsoft Office and PDF readers, and streaming Sprint TV, NASCAR, NFL and applications. Third party apps run fast on the 1-GHz processor, benchmark scores were in line with the comparable Nexus One Incredible Droid and HTC phones.

HTC EVO 4G Review

The two hottest apps here, of course, are Qik, which can directly stream video to the internet or in the future, make video calls using front-facing the EVO’s webcam and Sprint Hotspot app, which lets you use the EVO as a Wi-Fi hotspot for $ 30 extra per month.

The HTC Evo has flaws. I am rating a 4 star instead of a 4.5 for his rough voice quality, especially as 4G does not cover many cities. I’m not in love with its touch-keyboard. But it is so far ahead of other Sprint phones in so many ways, it is in a class that contains only the HTC Incredible, Nexus One, iPhone 3G, and themselves. The EVO is Sprint’s “super phone”, the ultimate handset for its network. Modern Android OS 2.1, beautiful design, power and 4G easily gets the crown of the HTC Touch Pro2.

Now the HTC Thunderbolt can be regarded as the most advanced device on Verizon’s network as a result of the incorporation of 4G LTE. But looking past the 4G radio in the phone, it is easily exposed as a blase handset. The specs within his nothing to squeak, but there is nothing on the Thunderbolt from other HTC Android phone with 2.2 UI Sense differentiate. It’s just more of the same.

HTC ThunderBolt 4G Review

The Thunderbolt was delayed for about one month, apparently due to concerns of terrible battery life while runningon 4G. And yes, battery life is not the best I’ve seen on an Android. Rated talk time was 6.3 hours, and we’re pretty sure this would be for 3G, in 3G, which was about the average battery life for me, but 4G drained the battery much faster. I’ve never made over 4.5 hours when running solely on the 4G signal.

The CPU of 1 GHz and 768 MB of RAM was enough to get everything running very smoothly and quickly, and the Sense interface enables the clean which means less bumps in the road to get over. The audio quality of calls was loud enough, but there was some vagueness in some of the conversations I’ve made.

But not even get me started on all the bloatware included with the Thunderbolt from the box. I stopped counting the number of apps on 40. This amount of pre-loaded software is ridiculous and gets in the way of having a true “open” Android experience.

General, the HTC Thunderbolt performs quite well. There is simply nothing that makes the phone stand apart and next to the 4G standard stereo underneath.

HTC ThunderBolt 4G Review

This means that you’re faced with a difficult decision: the cap of the extra money to pay a premium price for a new 4G smartphone, or wait a few months to see what comes out, what the prices will be new items, and if it worth the wait to have more options. Hopefully the price will come down with a number of other smartphones coming out at a lower price and LTE landscape becomes more competitive.

I do not envy the decision you’ll have to make. Just remember – you buy a top class standard Android phone that just so happens to LTE have thrown in the mix for good measure. Perfect phone? Nah, not even close. But if you have access to 4G as soon as possible need, I definitely recommend going with the Thunderbolt. It will get the job done well, and have some cool features to boot.

AT & T is expanding the hemisphere with power packed Android models for 2011, and the HTC Inspire 4G is one of the main contenders in the carrier-wide Wireless Battle Royale to death. The HTC Inspire 4G is not only capable of AT & T’s latest HSPA + speeds, but the UI and Sense HTC Android 2.2 interface ranks at the top of the totem pole on this smartphone on timeline. It also boasts an 8-megapixel camera with 720p HD video recording, rocks and a generous 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen capacitive. The latest high-end HTC Android phone is an architectural departure from the flock of everyday smartphones on the market today, and is filled with lots of memory for games or applications from the Android Market. Lookout Apple and prepare for Inspire.

HTC Inspire 4G Review

The massive 800 HTC Inspire’s 4G x 480-pixel 4.3-inch WVGA screen engulfs a majority of property to the front, attacking the user with large capacitive goodness. The Inspire 4G screen is so slim that we felt like we wipe on fresh silk. Four haptic feedback buttons (Home, Menu, Back and Search) to stay one minute past strip at the bottom of the screen for maximum viewing space preserved. It became clear early that was bred for the high quality entertainment. Like the HTC Surround, the HTC 4G Inspire equipped with Dolby Surround and SRS WOW sound playback, the screenings with a headset a very pleasant experience.

The back of the phone gave us hope for the future of monotonous and uninspiring smartphone designs that seem to be strewn on the market these days. HTC made the back of the Inspire 4G using blueprints Terminator, infusion rubber removable panels instead of a landline removable back plate. This allowed us the included 8GB microSD card and the SIM card and slide the bottom panel and the battery can be popped easily by removing the side panel. The large 8-megapixel camera lens is recommended his own rubber panel with dual LED flash located next door. It is also worth noting that the HTC Inspire 4G has 4 GB of storage and built-in Micro SD card can house up to 32GB.

External controls are significantly minimized if the HTC Inspire 4G, suggesting that HTC wants users to focus on a touchscreen-oriented experience. We get a volume control, on / off / lock button, 3.5mm audio jack and USB connector. We would have liked a camera button, but the focus and a great touch phone virtual shutter did the trick. The HTC Inspire 4G can not provide an HDMI connection, front-facing camera, or standard, but the phone can still hang with the HTC and Motorola Droid 4G EVO X when it comes to design and interface.

HTC Inspire 4G Review

The HTC Inspire 4G is equipped with one of the most advanced interfaces on the market, especially the latest iteration of HTC with Android Sense 2.2. 10.1 It supports Flash, which allows us to play directly from our YouTube video review from within the browser and the phone of the second generation 1GHz Snapdragon processor, we could fly effortlessly through the beautiful UI. The HTC Inspire 4G is one of the few chosen AT & T phones to a full Flash experience in the browser to offer, and the phone also excels in the connectivity arena, offers Mobile Hotspots for up to 5 devices, for DLNA streaming multimedia to other devices, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and full HTC cloud support.

That’s right – AT & T is the first carrier to take advantage of the htcsense.com cloud services, the possibility of making calls and sending messages, your phone will ring at full volume, and block or delete the phone offers from any computer by logging into your account HTC Sense. Speaking of Sense, let’s talk about the experience we have refined Sense to Inspire 4G. Not only is the UI smoother than butter at room temperature, but it’s incredibly easy to navigate. There are the usual widgets, such as social networking-focused Friend Stream and the famous HTC Weather widget, but this time the sun glistens on a sunny day when the phone is unlocked. On a rainy day, the weather widget animate a downpour of an unlocked state.

The HTC 4G Inspire also offers the ability to customize the appearance Sense, thanks to the Personalize icon in the Launch menu. Here we could not only select the classic live footage, but gave us Skins Sense and scenes. Scenes were divided into different sections such as Work and HTC, allows us to switch from multiple setups, like Sprint IDs, but very refined. Skins are backgrounds that can be downloaded in addition to the preloaded ones, and cared for some users such as music and Chinese New Year. We could link our Google contacts to other accounts, such as Facebook or MySpace, and their aggregated information would appear in the contact list. It was incredibly easy to get a handle on using this phone.

The little things were probably the best part of our experience. For example the HTC Inspire 4G uses the accelerometer for many tasks. We could change our phone to activate the speakerphone, and several 3D games and applications made use of the phone’s ability to orient themselves. The HTC Sense graphics also seemed polished retro switches, and access to the Android Market on a device like this is priceless. We were completely satisfied with the size of the HTC Inspire 4G possibilities when it came to the equipment under the hood. This phone can play with one of the big guns.

This is the phone that the best device won CES 2011 and is the only one in the world have three docks out of the gate, one of two, a TV and able to connect to the keyboard and a mouse and remote control, and another is a full laptop. This is a big step in making the screens of smart phones we carry around with us everywhere that also act as our computers, we can use for daily work. Inside there is a fat NVIDIA Tegra Dual Core 2 processor running the magnificent 4-inch QHD screen. Review of this phone is difficult because of the versatility, but we bit the bullet and managed to give you a solid, flat look.

We tell you now that this scanner is surprisingly accurate, and if you are unable to function because you got your fingers burned, or if you want to give access to someone else, you also have the option of the cradle of access through .

Motorola Atrix 4G Android Phone Review

The display is a step up from most of your daily Android smartphones of the day, a delicious 4-inch capacitive QHD and 960 x 540 pixel resolution. determination calculated for pixels per inch, it is not as sharp as a iphone 4, but still blast past the majority of its competitors. On the front above the display is a VGA resolution webcam, brightness and proximity sensors, each with the sensitivity and resolution you expect from a modern smartphone – not perfect, but certainly much more than any other comparable excellent device int he past .

On the back is a not-quite-the-most-powerful 5-megapixel camera is appreciated, but as you’ll see below, it is definitely working properly (with dual LED flash almost like a bonus.) This camera shoots 720p HD video, so you will want some space – thusly, there is space. Inside you will find the NVIDIA Tegra processor with two cores and a pair of 1GHz 1GB DDR2 RAM with a fat 16GB of integrated storage. That’s bold, it’s amazing, but more than you’re ever going to need on a daily basis are normal. But you can if you want more with the microSD slot that’ll give you an extra 32GB.

This phone connects via AT & T’s HSPA + “4G” network, quad-band GSM / EDGE, Wi-Fi along b / g / n with support for both 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, plus it has Bluetooth and of course 2.1EDR microUSB and HDMI ports. Oh and you want more? What about GPS, accelerometer and digital compass? They’re also in it.

We begin to sick to our stomachs when we hear that this phone will be implemented Android 2.2 Froyo and MOTOBLUR, but soon well again and even full of vitality as we feel that these things hardly a stop on the beautiful effect of this otherwise very up- handset to date. MOTOBLUR or MOTOBLUR if you like, looks ever so slightly better than its predecessors – a look at the post MOTOBLUR get an update if you want to the press release on this brand new version. On the other hand, since we are hackers and developers at heart, we cry when we once again find that AT & T to continue with their restrictions on the Android device, namely the complete cessation of side loading apps, aka all those apps you have are not directly from the Android Marketplace.

Motorola Atrix 4G Android Phone Review

As for apps that come with the handset, there is an array of AT & T bits, including Navigator, YP Mobile, Code Scanner, and my AT & T, Motorola and deployed a few features that Quickoffice 3.0, Vlingo Voice , Need for speed include MobiTV, and an app for a company where we were sure was already out of business: Blockbuster. Strange.

Then there is a couple of Google Apps, the listing of how many apps long now we really need is included out of the box, but Google and provides a number we would have gotten anyway, take for example, Gmail. As is normal with most Android phones released in what is otherwise a very open environment, most of these applications are not allowed to be deleted. You know the way around these locks, but, right, developers and hackers? Of course you do. No problem.

Torch The BlackBerry 9800 is RIM’s latest – and largest – attempt to touch screen technology to address. RIM has updated its software to more finger-friendly and kept the popular BlackBerry keyboard, but a solid design and low resolution screen of the Torch prevent unseating the best of its smartphone rivals.

The classic BlackBerry has a landscape screen with a QWERTY keyboard underneath, like the BlackBerry Bold 9700. But instead of sticking to the countryside in search of its new touchscreen Torch, RIM has chosen to place tall and thin. The keyboard slides out underneath the screen the long way, making it narrower than it should. It also makes the phone feels top heavy when you slide open. Indeed, the Torch feels bulky, weighs 161g and porking out at 15mm thick.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 Review

The keyboard itself is good to use, but we do not love it as much as the one on the Bold 9700. That’s because it has a lip around it that hindered our thumbs, and the keys do not have the company response we want. But we still enjoyed typing long epistles to the physical keyboard. The on-screen keyboard is also very useful if you feel too lazy to pop open the slide. We had no trouble tapping out accurate messages, and the predictive text was helpful when we made mistakes. We also liked the built-in spell checker and the cursor, thereby selecting parts of the text easily.

We think you will probably stick with the physical keyboard, otherwise you’re wasting one of the biggest advantages of this phone. But if you want to type on the screen, you have the option of portrait and landscape QWERTY keyboard, a 12-key alphanumeric keyboard and SureType option, which offers two letters per key. RIM has a punt on making a touchscreen phone in the past, with the BlackBerry Storm, but it was a flop. The software did not properly designed for use with a finger instead of the traditional BlackBerry trackball and clicky SurePress screen felt weak. RIM has SurePress dumped on the torch, and added multi-touch features, so you can zoom in and out of a webpage with a pinch of your fingers, for example.

Together with BlackBerry OS 6, the latest version of the BlackBerry operating system, making the Torch feel more like a phone that is designed for touch instead of a touch screen that has a hit on at the last minute. The touch experience is still not as smooth as the one on phones like the HTC or the iPhone is Desire. When scrolling through lists of status updates, for example, the phone occasionally became confused about whether we were tapping or scrolling. It’s not a deal-breaker, because the phone is still very useful, but the Torch is not as smooth as some of its competitors.

BlackBerry devices are the masters of mobile e-mail, but you have a BlackBerry contract to take advantage of their powers. Push email means that you get your messages instantly, without waiting for the phone to the server to check, although most BlackBerry smartphones have caught up in offering this feature. We certainly had no trouble getting connected to the interwebs, with the Torch offering the latest 802.11n Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. It also includes 512 MB of memory built in, along with a 4 GB microSD memory card, which can be increased to 32GB.

BlackBerry Torch 9800 Review

3.2-inch LCD The Torch is also something of a disappointment, given the low resolution. We have used the super large screens at the will of the iPhone and Samsung 4 S Galaxy, and the torch looks blurred and underwhelming in comparison. It is still readable, but we had to do some serious zooming web pages to read. At least the multi-touch zoom makes it a breeze. Torch The BlackBerry 9800 offers the convenience of a touch screen without losing the brand beloved Qwerty keyboard, and the update to OS of the phone is as welcome as a clean towel after bog snorkelling.

But instead of simplifying the user interface, the touchscreen adds complexity to a type of phone that never been known for ease of use. Combined with its thick appearance, Torch lacks entertainment.
Nevertheless, if an e-mail powerhouse needed, your company is on the security of a BlackBerry, or you love the feeling of Total Information Awareness, the torch has many advantages.

For the Toshiba Portege R835-P56X, the manufacturer has just updated the processor to the new and there are USB 3.0 ports. Apart from that, this laptop is the same as its predecessor. New technology in the market and Toshiba did not stay behind, so they have updated their lineup of notebooks. Keyboard of this laptop has a wide apart, island design, but the buttons are rectangular and the specific design will certainly take some time to get used to.

Toshiba Portege R835-P56x Review

The keyboard of the Toshiba Portege R835-P56X has vertical row to the end, Home, Page Up and Page Down keys on the right. It’s easy to find them while typing on the keyboard and the position of the right Shift and Enter button is where you want them. But it is difficult to multimedia buttons for volume, mute it if they are relegated to the alternative F-key commands. Will the Function button to access them. The keyboard is backlit and is not really surprising given the price of $ 900. I would still say that typing and touchpad experience on this laptop is really good.

Toshiba Portege R835-P56X comes with some useful utilities. There is ReelTime to display recent documents and web pages in thumbnail form on the screen. There is also a bulletin borad that combines notes and photos in a workspace. These programs are useful and smooth, but they are also owned and you have some time to get used to them as well.

Toshiba Portege R835-P56x Review

The screen of the Toshiba Portege R835-P56X is 13.3 inches high and the LED display has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. It is similar to the screen of the Apple MacBook 1280 × 800 pixels, but it is smaller than the 13-inch MacBook Air, which is a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. The viewing angles on this laptop is not really good, but the screen is bright enough. Watching movies and videos would have been a better experience if the sound quality was better.

Choose from features like the Intel Wireless Display, WiMax and Bluetooth. The Wireless Display technology allows you to stream video signals to external monitors, but you need an HDMI receiver for this to get sold separately.
